With training they can be made to attack on command but if trained properly they can be very caring dogs. These dogs are very loyal and being separated from their master can be very harmful to the German Sheperd. Obviously if trained properly they can be good with children. They tend to bark a lot. German Sheperds have a lot of energy and require at least 2 hours a day of excercise.
